The steamers were fabulous—sweet and delicious, arriving in a generous portion that felt like a steal at around $28. The fried oysters lived up to their reputation, with that custardy, oceany flavor that makes them the best ever, priced at about $24.
The soft shell crabs were crispy and tender, a highlight at $32, while the clams casino offered a savory bite for $18. The fresh flounder sandwich was satisfying, though at $22, it felt a bit steep. The place itself is a hidden gem tucked behind the ferry parking lot, with a cozy, no-frills vibe—think wooden tables, nautical touches, and soft lighting that makes it feel like a local secret.
Service was wonderful, with the staff keeping things friendly and efficient, even during the busy ferry waits. Yes, prices can be high, and the lobster roll might not wow you, but for fresh seafood and that welcoming atmosphere, Nicky’s Clam Bar delivers a meal worth sharing.
