Alternatively, you can rely on the excellent customer service, with Dilsher recently praised for being accommodating and patient with great suggestions. Our favourite burger joints are the ones that serve creations you’re less likely to make in your own kitchen. And how can you have tried an Unburger if you’ve never heard of one, right? We’re unsure of the exact inspiration behind the Unburger (it’s a plant-based patty, FYI) but we do know that we think Nuburger are certified geniuses.
Their signature burgers – which come with local beef or chicken, that new multi-grain bun, toppings like candied bacon, avocado, and special sauces – are winning over Winnipeg. The Cheddar Burger with those sweet-salty bacon bits and creamy avocado is a masterpiece, while the Tropic Thunder burger is so packed with flavor it’ll keep you full for hours. Even their vegetarian options don’t feel like afterthoughts.
Don’t skip the yam fries – perfectly crispy and salted – and save room for their amazing cookies. The staff, like Yash who always remembers regulars, make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. At around $14–$18 for a burger and fries, it’s a worthwhile splurge in a bright, modern space where the compostable packaging shows they care about more than just the food. If there’s ever a hiccup with your order, they might even surprise you with complimentary yam fries.
