When Bay Shore restaurants serve wings, we devour them. This means we subject our taste buds and napkin supplies to the crispy, the saucy, and more often than not, the merely decent. And every once in a while, a new spot makes us feel like a sauce-covered kid in a candy store. When that happens, we add it here, to this list.
KC’s Pizza N’ Wings – Islip Terrace
$ | (631) 650-0928 | WEBSITE

From the team behind the beloved Islip Terrace original comes KC’s Pizza N’ Wings, a cozy neighborhood spot in Bay Shore specializing in the art of crispy chicken wings. That means perfectly seasoned buffalo sauce, golden-brown crispiness, and a meatball hero we’d devour by the platterful. But you’re really here for pizza.
It’s a tough decision between the classic cheese with fresh ingredients, or the Islander Combo featuring wings and pizza—both are already contenders for the area’s finest bites. The new Hostville location is in the works, too, but in the meantime, we’ll be hanging out by the counter for 6pm wing runs.
Domino’s Pizza
$ | (631) 206-0300 | WEBSITE

The team behind this Bay Shore pizza joint has been delivering for years, which tells you the kind of reliable service we’re dealing with here. And the pies are solid. NY style pizzas come out hot and crispy, with that classic foldable crust and tangy sauce. Gooey chicken bacon barbecue sauce creations (topped with smoky bacon and sweet barbecue glaze) could satisfy us for the entire game.
And crispy cheddar bacon tots served in their unique bread bowls are just as comforting as they are indulgent. Orders arrive in about thirty minutes, and the menu has a nice selection of sides and drinks for pizza supplementing.
KFC
$ | (631) 665-9559 | WEBSITE

Bay Shore was overdue for some reliable comfort food, and KFC delivers. Once just another fast-food chain, this location stands out as one of the friendliest. The menu focuses on satisfying classics like extra crispy chicken that arrives hot and ready in a jiffy, with the option to customize orders to personal preferences.
It all happens inside a clean, efficient space that works for grabbing lunch at the counter, taking advantage of the deals the staff happily provides, or posting up at a table with your family. Before you leave, make sure to say hello to manager Jorge, who warmly greets customers and ensures everyone gets excellent service and value for their money.
Buffalo Wild Wings
$$ | (631) 517-1987 | WEBSITE

Chicken wings that don’t break the bank in this town? Before Buffalo Wild Wings opened, we’d chuckle and say ‘good luck finding that.’ But this Bay Shore spot serves some of the most affordable wings around. They happen to be fantastic, too, with crispy BBQ-glazed skin, tender meat, and the optional-but-not-really-optional-at-all addition of caramel sauce for dipping those cheese curds.
Fries and other all-American options are available, too, with the attentive service from staff like Josh as a standout. There’s not much to the space beyond big screen TVs and a large layout, but for a neighborhood craving reliable wings, Buffalo Wild Wings is an asset.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
$ | (631) 666-4621 | WEBSITE

From the outside, this Bay Shore mall location of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen looks like your standard fast-food joint—but it delivers more than expected. The chain’s Southern roots shine through in a fat piece of chicken sandwich that looks like a golden-brown masterpiece and tastes like a guilty pleasure. Or crispy chicken wings with a satisfying crunch, perfect with a cold soda. Or arguably the most reliable quick meal around.
Between the convenience of mall parking, the soundtrack of overhead pop music, and staff occasionally hustling to correct order mistakes, Popeyes already fits in neatly among the area’s coupon-driven, on-the-go dining options.
Xing Wang Kitchen
$ | (631) 667-1888 | WEBSITE

The newest contender for Bay Shore’s best chicken wings might just be the most surprising. At this unassuming kitchen, the hot and fresh packages are doppelgangers of ones you might find at a beloved neighborhood joint, and the straightforward preparations succeed with flying colors. Those include budget-friendly portions with vegetarian options that impress despite the simple appearance.
Prepare for limited seating, prepare for kindness from the employees even without air conditioning, and prepare for deliciousness that makes it worth the takeout trip—just be mindful of the parking lot.
Goody Two Shoes
$$ | (631) 647-4856 | WEBSITE

We’ll declare it with the same conviction we reserve for our favorite dance moves: Goody Two Shoes serves the best wings in Bay Shore, no question. The fried chicken sandwich gives credence to their vibrant atmosphere—it’s got a crispy golden crunch, but the way it yields reveals juicy, perfectly seasoned meat with just a light chew. Wings are just as stellar, like smoky buffalo and sweet honey garlic deepened by a tangy dipping sauce, or you can go with a simple-but-effective classic order.
And ucca french fries served with that good dipping sauce make for a pristine accompaniment. Keep an eye on their happy hour for those highlighted drinks.
Wingstop
$ | (631) 769-9464 | WEBSITE

Chicken wing joints are everywhere in the suburbs, but this Wingstop stands out from the crowd. Sure, this straightforward Bay Shore spot nails the basics, with friendly staff, clean counters, and prompt preparation that gets those sealed bags to your door reliably. But our taste buds really can’t stop fixating on the Mango Habanero. The wings aren’t drenched in sauce—they’re divided when you order multiple flavors—so each bite delivers that perfect sweet-heat punch without any muddled mess.
Yeah, it’d be better if the excellent 20-piece boneless wings with a side were included in the $25 price. But the platter is easily shared, so let’s call it a win.
Halal Munchies
$ | (631) 415-4983 | WEBSITE

We knew this halal spot was special after the first bite of the spicy chicken sandwich, perfectly crispy and generously portioned. That feeling was confirmed upon trying the seasoned fries, golden-brown and seasoned just right. Yes, it sounds like late-night fast food, but damn, those fries are the best thing here. With a clean, bustling space, kind service, and plenty of seating availability, this place has the potential to become a real Bay Shore destination.
