This is one of our go-to spots for chicken in Laredo, and it happens to serve a lunch special that won’t break the bank.
But while other places are where you go for a sit-down meal and spend twenty bucks, Church’s is the kind of joint where you can grab a leg and thigh for just three dollars. That being said, if you’re hoping for perfectly cooked chicken every time, Church’s might not be the most reliable part of your day. You can thank the occasional dry, overcooked pieces for that.
Pizza Patrón San Dario

Pizza Patrón San Dario is one of the best spots for chicken wings in Laredo, and it’s where we go for really good bone-less wings and churros. The wings here are on the zesty side, which means that later on you’ll be able to focus on the road ahead, rather than your impending urge to find another snack. The only catch is that this place is pretty popular with truck drivers, so there’s a chance it’ll be busy.

Wings and Rings is a reliably satisfying spot in Laredo where you’ll probably want to return after one meal, but it’s also the name of a family-friendly restaurant where you can get crispy wings, juicy burgers, and platters of potato wedges. This place is always clean, and on busy nights, it’s lively until closing. Which means you’ll have ample time after work for a wing-filled dinner.

But whenever we come here for chicken fingers, we actually look forward to getting that special sauce and those delightful rolls. How it works: order at a counter and eat quickly.
The upside: you get to enjoy delicious food with efficient, friendly service, and if you’re smart, you’ll order extra sauce to make it even better.
Wing Daddy’s Sauce House – Laredo

If you’re craving something spicy and satisfying after a long day, head to Wing Daddy’s Sauce House for their exceptional chicken wings. Each order runs about $12, and the perfectly sauced, flavorful wings you get are bold and delicious enough to potentially make you forget about everything else. Sort of like that feeling when you first discovered your favorite comfort food as a kid.

ALAburger is now in Laredo. Which is fine, because so are a lot of burger spots (and wing joints, if you’re into that kind of thing). ALAburger is a great place for a casual meal with a couple friends you convinced to come watch a game. Between the local burger spot vibe and the Poblano burger and $12 wing baskets, they’ll probably like it here – even if they absolutely hate the night of sports highlights and burger debates you all paid $10 to endure.
PIZZA BOX

PIZZA BOX is where you should go if you’re looking for the family-friendly version of the Laredo pizza scene. This spot has about five TVs going at once, all showing different matches from old school or current WWE wrestling. We’ve enjoyed our fair share of cheese breadsticks here, but for a reliable meal in the neighborhood, you can’t do better than their meat lovers pizza. No frills, just excellent pies and a counter with friendly service.
There’s a good chance you’ll recognize someone at the next table later as “the person who ordered the chicken alfredo pasta!” And when it’s time for team gatherings, we like to bring our pizza orders from PIZZA BOX.
Military Wings

If you’re craving wings in Laredo, Military Wings probably won’t disappoint. This is a casual spot with a unique atmosphere, complete with camo nets and a large bar, making it a comfortable place to eat. We’re fans of the tamarind and lemon pepper wings, both of which cost less than $12. If you’re just looking for some beer and great chicken, Military Wings is the best you’re going to do this close to a place that offers friendly and fast service at great prices.
Plus, they have vegetarian choices like salad and fries.
Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is (mostly) a pizza chain with locations across the country, but the Laredo spot is just a few blocks from the main highway – a classic American pizza restaurant in a busy shopping center. If you’re trying to prove that you know about all the best comfort food around the city, we’d suggest coming here for a casual meal (as opposed to just telling your friends, ‘I know about all the best comfort food around the city’).
You’ll have to walk through a brightly-lit dining area to get to your table, and it’s the kind of place where you might briefly consider ordering another slice while you eat perfectly crispy wings and a pizza with extra cheese.
Jalapeños Pizza & Wings

A casual pizza and wings joint can only be so casual when it’s featured among Laredo’s best – but in comparison to a lot of the other restaurants in the area, Jalapeños is relaxed and relatively affordable. The regular pizzas here are almost all under $15, and there are daily specials from opening until closing.
It kind of feels like a classic family-friendly spot from a time when people wore comfortable jeans and brought their kids along, but come to think of it, so does the whole neighborhood vibe.
Mr.crabby’s cajun seafood and bar

Depending on how quickly you navigate Laredo’s streets (and therefore how familiar you are with the local dining scene), you can find Mr. Crabby’s Cajun Seafood and Bar in about ten to fifteen minutes from downtown. And you should, because this is a seafood spot with really great shrimp and crawfish. So bring the family, try some Cajun seafood, and you’ll be enjoying a warm, friendly atmosphere before you know it.
550 Pizzeria

Not only is 550 Pizzeria always a reliable choice for pizza and wings, but the Laredo location is about a five-minute drive from the main shopping district (and convenient if you’re running errands). So come here on your way home – or to wherever you’re going to process the kids who spent 20 minutes playing games while waiting for their half-and-half Neapolitan pizza.
