A quick glance at the fast food landscape in Hillsboro reveals one undeniable truth: there’s never been a better moment to grab a quick, satisfying meal in this Oregon city. Yet with so many tempting drive-thrus and counters to choose from, pinpointing the absolute best can feel overwhelming. That’s precisely why we’ve done the delicious legwork for you.
Del Taco
$ | (503) 716-8701 | WEBSITE

Did you know that Del Taco actually serves meal boxes for just five, seven, and nine dollars? Well, that’s what we’re here for. The popping boba drinks are, by far, the very best thing on the menu. They’re made with authentic and delightful flavors, which provide just the right amount of refreshing sweetness.
If you’re looking for a quicker option, or just want to grab tacos to go, then head to the drive-thru where Jessica works during the night and early morning hours, and she’ll double-check your order with a nice demeanor.
MOD Pizza
$ | (503) 372-5834 | WEBSITE

Tucked away in Hillsboro, MOD Pizza delivers consistently solid pies with plenty of customization options. Even the pickiest eater in your group will find something to enjoy here, including the popular cauliflower crust, the hot honey sauce, and the veggie-packed pizzas. If you’re watching your diet, the gluten-free and dairy-free choices are where it’s at – fresh ingredients sit on a perfectly baked crust.
And if you just can’t decide what to top your pizza with, ask the super-helpful and funny manager for a suggestion. Whatever you order, make sure to check the back parking lot where you can find a spot when the front is full.
QDOBA Mexican Eats
$ | (503) 645-2244 | WEBSITE

With its bright colors and ‘Live Más’ neon signs, QDOBA Mexican Eats is a very chill place to grab some Mexican food in Hillsboro. The menu, which includes burritos, bowls, and quesadillas, is pretty straightforward, but we’d like to focus on one of our favorite Mexican things here: the chicken quesadilla. It’s stuffed with sweet/spicy chicken, pickled onions, and jalapeños while sitting on a crispy tortilla.
But if you must have a burrito, which is also very good, you can select between a few protein options: the burrito with pulled pork features brown rice and green sauce, and the burrito bowl comes with generous portions at around $9-12. The friendly staff, including Luis, provide great service, and the chips are always fresh and crispy.
Taco Bell
$ | (503) 848-9129 | WEBSITE

Although there is only one truly standout item on the menu here (the classic Crunchy Taco Supreme), the cheesy bean and rice burrito is what we go for when we need a change from the former (after all, it totally counts as a satisfying option as well.) The super casual spot in Hillsboro is known for the quick and pretty efficient service that makes up the experience, which is the ideal base for the warm, full tacos prepared on order.
Carl’s Jr.
$ | (503) 645-7194 | WEBSITE

Carl’s Jr. might not be the only fast-food spot in Hillsboro with a drive-thru, but it is our go-to. The burger joint serves fresh patties from a grill that’s fired up all day, ensuring those late-night cravings are satisfied with hot food every time. All burgers are assembled using warm buns that are toasted right before serving. The menu isn’t strictly gourmet, but any order can be made extra special with friendly service from staff like Oscar, which is pretty awesome. Our favorite?
The Famous Star burger and the occasional frozen drink samples, which feature sweet, icy blends to beat the heat (or, I guess, a version of them?). The overall atmosphere is also welcoming with a super chill team that treats customers like family.
Jollibee
$ | (971) 441-2555 | WEBSITE

While we appreciate menus that offer endless variety, there’s a certain comfort in not having to overthink your order. That’s exactly what we found at this new Hillsboro location that focuses on just a handful of Filipino classics. That limited selection, however, means we can truly appreciate how well-executed each dish is.
Jollibee really leans into the already wonderful combination of crispy chicken, savory gravy, and perfectly seasoned sides, without the distraction of unnecessary additions that might leave you questioning if twenty menu items were fifteen too many. This place presents fast food at its most fundamental and truly embodies the idea that sometimes simplicity is everything.
Arby’s
$ | (503) 640-0386 | WEBSITE

If it’s a quick-fix you’re looking for, head to Arby’s, which has locations all over town, and – with its once modern design now showing its age in the seating and carpet – always reminds me of a fast-food joint from my childhood, in the most nostalgic way possible. There are classic items on the menu, including the Beef and Cheddar sandwich (roast beef, cheddar sauce, and a sesame seed bun), the Gyro (seasoned beef and lamb, lettuce, tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce), and the Curly Fries.
A fun fact about the latter side: it’s often inconsistent, with some batches being overcooked or too salty, which has led some regulars to skip them entirely. The drive-thru service is efficient, and the staff is kind and helpful, though sometimes condiments like ranch dressing or horsey sauce are missing. Prices can feel high, with deals that don’t always seem genuine, making it a treat rather than a frequent stop.
Two Hands Corn Dogs
$ | (503) 430-1999 | WEBSITE

There are a few things you should know about Two Hands Corn Dogs in Hillsboro: it’s most definitely a very casual spot – as you’ll notice given the small dining area inside – and isn’t entirely traditional, but there’s a good number of creative options to choose from.
They’re all made with delicious Korean corn dogs (including the popular half sausage/half mozzarella dog), but you can also go with different crunchy coatings like rice crispies, hot cheeto powder, or bean powder instead for an extra $1.50. Variety is the name of the game here, and we suggest the half sausage/half mozzarella dog with rice crispies coating (crispy exterior, gooey cheese, savory sausage, and various sauces) for something a little less ordinary.
Or for something more familiar, we’re partial to the classic corn dog with hot cheeto powder, made with crunchy coating, savory sausage, and your choice of sauce.
A&W Restaurant
$ | (503) 640-6398 | WEBSITE

If you’re craving classic fast food, then A&W Restaurant might just become your go-to spot. They share a location with KFC in Hillsboro, offering a satisfying variety of burgers, chicken, and sides. And at this joint, you’ve got standout items: the hamburger (praised for its juiciness) and the cheese curds (described as nummy). The root beer is also a highlight, known for being sugar-free and perfect for root beer floats.
The staff provides excellent service, with friendly and nice team members who make every visit pleasant. Customers appreciate the fresh chicken, which is always made fresh each time. Fries with delicious seasoning remain a favorite, and the atmosphere brings back childhood memories. Although there’s a small parking lot and occasional waiting at the drive-thru, many recommend this location for good food and friendly service.
Burgerville
$ | (503) 648-7787 | WEBSITE

This might be the most classic spot on the list, and we should clarify that it’s not just another burger joint, but a Northwest favorite that also happens to serve excellent seasonal milkshakes (including dairy-free ones). All the burgers here – whether the classic hamburgers or the Colossal Burgers – are made with local ingredients and those with real cheese can be made with plant-based options instead (for an extra $1.50 per burger).
You can also order the crispy fried asparagus with garlic dip, made with fresh asparagus, crispy batter, and served with creamy garlic sauce, or the Walla Walla onion rings with dipping sauce. The rest of the menu is also vegetarian-friendly: from the grilled chicken sandwiches served with fries to the halibut and the entire dessert selection.
Baja Fresh
$ | (503) 941-5139 | WEBSITE

If you’re going to choose a single place from this guide to visit, it should be this Mexican spot in Hillsboro. Serving up fresh, high-quality meals from a clean and spacious kitchen, Baja Fresh’s food both looks and tastes delicious. Start with the chips and salsa bar before trying the Chili Lime shrimp salad and Chicken Ultima Burrito. The former is made with fresh greens, peppers, jicama, and avocado while the latter comes generously portioned with beans and rice.
The friendly staff provides welcoming service, and while prices run slightly higher than some fast food options, you get what you pay for in quality ingredients. Overall, it’s a recommended spot for a healthy and flavorful meal.
Chick-fil-A
$ | (503) 433-9018 | WEBSITE

There are two exciting things about this Hillsboro fast-food spot that also happens to be family-friendly: the burgers come with the right amount of fixings and generous portions, and the waffle fries are a standout favorite for kids. Although not everything on the menu is perfect, there are still plenty of good options to enjoy, including the chicken nuggets that are always hot and fresh.
The drive-thru service is fast and easy, and the friendly employees, including those of retirement age who are pleasant and happy to help, make the experience welcoming. Mobile ordering is convenient for quick pickups, though occasional issues with missing items can arise. Overall, it’s a clean, reliable choice with excellent service that keeps loyal customers coming back several times a month.
