Victorville may not have Michelin stars or white-tablecloth dining, but we do have drive-thrus that are perfectly efficient and parking lots that are, well, parking lots and have cars in them. And we also have a lot of good fast food joints where you can get double cheeseburgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and a temporary break from cooking without actually leaving your car. Here are 10 of our favorites.
Flame Broiler
$ | (760) 951-0888 | WEBSITE

Flame Broiler is from the same chain you might know from other cities, and it’s pretty similar, except that it’s easier to get a table. You won’t have to wait in a long line during peak hours, but if it’s a busy lunch rush and you realize you want a healthy meal fast, you might as well try finding something quicker at home. In other words, come at off-peak times, or bring a few friends who won’t mind sharing one of the clean tables.
The menu offers plenty of healthy options, with items like chicken, various sauces, and a variety of bowls.
Tams Burgers
$ | (760) 552-4401 | WEBSITE

Pull into the parking lot at Tams Burgers, and you’ll see families coming and going that’ll remind you this is definitely a neighborhood spot. Even still, this Victorville location feels welcoming—maybe it’s the clean dining area or friendly staff, which will take your mind off the fact that you’re just off busy 7th Street. Order a burger, chili cheese fries, and some fried chicken strips, and then wipe your hands and head back out through the drive-thru.
The restaurant also serves breakfast all day, if you’re looking for morning comfort food.
Roundabout Grill
$ | (760) 881-3460 | WEBSITE

This family-friendly grill in Victorville is our go-to spot for satisfying meals at good prices. Roundabout Grill has been serving the area for years, and though they have breakfast options like pot roast and buffalo wings, we come here to eat their amazing burgers and enjoy the friendly service for a quick, reliable meal.
The burgers are juicy and well-seasoned, and the fries taste better than they do at other fast food spots in town (but maybe that’s just because you can relax in the comfortable seating while you eat them).
Jersey Mike’s Subs
$ | (760) 260-9800 | WEBSITE

Sometimes, it’s nice to have a quiet salad at home and then settle in with a book. Sometimes. But when the craving for a hearty sandwich and some friendly chatter hits, head to Jersey Mike’s Subs in Victorville. There’s a welcoming counter where you can watch them slice fresh meats and pile them high with care, and inside there are simple tables where you can enjoy things like the hot mushroom sandwich or classic subs.
Your meal might not be gourmet dining, but you aren’t here for that—you’re here for the honest service and satisfying bites that make this spot a reliable favorite.
Steak ‘n Shake
$ | (760) 243-0445 | WEBSITE

The long stretch of highway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas is mostly made up of desert, so you’re going to have to pack a cooler with snacks if you’re looking to eat along the way. Unless you stop at Steak ‘n Shake, a classic fast food spot right off the interstate in Victorville.
Its convenient location and consistently great staff make it more appealing than other options with similarly quick service, so keep Steak ‘n Shake in mind when you and your travel companions are looking for a place to enjoy some food you definitely can’t get just anywhere. The Frisco melt with those smashed patties and Frisco sauce on sourdough is a favorite, and the fries cooked in beef tallow are thin and delicious.
While prices have gone up in recent years, you still get great value here—the shakes are top-notch, the chili is good, and the cheese fries are impressive too. It’s a popular stop for those heading to or from Vegas, with friendly, helpful service especially for first-timers, and the chili spaghetti is also worth trying.
Church’s Texas Chicken
$ | (760) 245-1141 | WEBSITE

Let’s be clear: Church’s Texas Chicken is in a gas station, but you’re not here to fill up your tank. The fast-food counter is tucked inside a convenience store, making it a convenient spot to grab a quick bite when you’re on the go. The menu is chicken-focused and generally affordable, so we’d recommend sticking to the biscuits, coleslaw, and sides—maybe the mashed potatoes with gravy to start.
You’ll probably be standing next to someone in work boots who just finished a shift, but that’s just part of the atmosphere.
Burger King
$ | (760) 952-1191 | WEBSITE

Burger King is in Victorville, a desert city between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It’s well worth a stop if you’re driving through on the highway, because pulling into the gas station location and grabbing a quick meal feels like you’ve found yourself in the middle of nowhere, only to discover they serve hot, fresh burgers out there. We love the classic Whopper and the crispy chicken fries, but you should also give the breakfast menu’s dedicated coffee options your full attention.
Chick-fil-A
$ | (760) 355-6637 | WEBSITE

In Victorville you’ll find Chick-fil-A, and as the name suggests, things tend to stay orderly here throughout the day—you might watch an efficiently choreographed drive-thru while you eat your chicken sandwich. But during breakfast hours, come to Chick-fil-A to sit at a clean table with fresh flowers, maybe even in-between morning errands. Bring friends, and share chicken biscuits and lemonade while you appreciate the personal touches.
In-N-Out Burger
$ | (800) 786-1000 | WEBSITE

Victorville has plenty of places to grab a quick bite and even more spots to get a decent burger, but if you want to do them both at the same time, you should head to In-N-Out Burger. They serve consistently satisfying burgers like the protein-style double cheese and crunch bun options, and the drive-thru and dine-in services are quick and efficient. It’s an ideal spot for a fast meal with friends, and it gets busy with locals during peak hours, so be prepared to wait (and people watch).
The staff are notably friendly and handle mix-ups promptly, showing good customer service. It’s also the place where you can get fries “light-well” for a less soggy alternative, in case you want your burger with the perfect side. Bring your appetite.
Roll Em Up Taquitos
$ | (760) 490-0590 | WEBSITE

Roll Em Up Taquitos knows its purpose: It’s a convenient place to grab quick, satisfying taquitos for anyone who (for some reason) finds themselves in Victorville. Bless them. Between the missing ceiling panels and the visible B rating that gives a feeling of abandonment, you can order a combo with beans, rice, and a drink—brought to you by friendly staff like Emily and Madison—while you enjoy the mild or hot sauce options.
The staff go out of their way to provide good service, making the visit more enjoyable despite the place’s decline. You can add extras like chips or guacamole for a small upcharge, though vegan options are lacking. Overall, while the focus remains on quality food and service, improvements are needed to restore its former lively atmosphere.
