No visit to Manassas is complete without an excellent plate of pasta. Or several. And honestly, you’re better off eating Italian in Manassas than pretty much anywhere in Northern Virginia. Sure, it’s a trek for some, but great food is worth traveling for, and the flavors here are as authentic as they come.
Pizza Boli’s
$ | (703) 335-2000 | WEBSITE

Head to this fast-food spot in a Manassas strip for the signature real sliced meatball pizza. It features a generous portion of tender meatballs smothered in rich tomato sauce and melted cheese, baked on a crispy crust, and served with fantastic fries. Also worth trying are the addicting lamb and chicken rice bowls, protein-packed dishes with well-cooked, flavorful meat over seasoned rice.
It’s more practical to grab your order to go across town to enjoy it at home, as they have limited indoor seating.
Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
$ | (703) 369-3635 | WEBSITE

You might hear some people say that Olive Garden has the best Italian food in Manassas. We’ll compromise and say there’s no better place to (politely) enjoy a reliable family meal than at this friendly establishment, especially during a busy weekend dinner. The Chicken Alfredo is on the more straightforward side: the creamy sauce coats the fettuccine, just a touch of seasoning, and some tender chicken for substance.
It comes with a tasty salad and those famous breadsticks on the side, plus whatever you inevitably order from the drink menu (get the generous refills).
Ledo Pizza
$ | (703) 361-5336 | WEBSITE

Ledo’s is all about the Maryland crust, generous cheese, and perfect sauce, but they also do calzones if you’re going all out.
You won’t need your fancy clothes or a reservation here, and the warm greetings, carefully packaged carryout, and consistently delicious vibes are satisfying all day and night.
Joe’s Pizza and Subs

Joe’s Pizza and Subs is one of the more overlooked and underrated spots in Manassas, and easily the best Zep sub in Northern Virginia. It’s a hearty sub with generous portions of fresh ingredients on a perfectly toasted roll. Add some of their marinara sauce on the side and enjoy.
Just know this unassuming joint with its unique vibe—located in the ‘hood’ part of town and combined with a Mexican bakery—is slightly off the beaten path, but the friendly staff and consistently outstanding food make it worth seeking out.

A Deli Italian Food
$ | (703) 330-1959 | WEBSITE

We love the location of A Deli Italian Food—it’s a hidden gem tucked away in Manassas with a simple, welcoming storefront. The always-satisfying Super Big A is pretty similar to what you’ll find at a classic New York deli: generously loaded with fresh ingredients on crusty, chewy bread. The luxe steak and cheese hot sandwich is also very much worth the stop, with tender steak and melted cheese, topped with peppers and onions, and served on that same fantastic bread.
Paisano’s Pizza

Paisano’s Pizza makes the best pizza in Manassas, but it’s not for the purists—theirs is generous with toppings and has that perfectly crispy crust that holds up to the heat.
