While we wait for such simple pleasures to become routine, we’re still ordering takeout and delivery from Queens Pizza Palace, the counter-service pizza spot in Atlantic City.
Their pizzas, in particular, are delightfully delicious – we recommend either the small cheese pizza or the chicken empanadas (with green salsa and mayo).

We’re pretty sure the Jersey Shore has a secret pizza whisperer. What other kitchen could deliver such perfect combinations like the fried Reese’s peanut butter cup, fried Oreos, and that Jamaican empanada with its complex flavor profile? We tried asking Antonio, Christian, and Rio for their secrets, but they just smiled and treated us like family – maybe they’ve all signed some delicious NDA.

Pizata Pizza and Pasta recently landed in the Borgata food hall, and early buzz from late-night crowds is overwhelmingly positive. We have yet to try this pizza and pasta spot, but we’re certainly looking forward to some margarita pizza from the special oven and chicken Parmesan with ziti in vodka sauce in the near future.

Tony’s Baltimore Grill, the popular pizza restaurant in Atlantic City, is currently open for dine-in and yes, takeout, which might be some of the most comforting news we’ve heard in a while (sorry, other pizzerias). Menu items include bar pies with crispy dough and tasty sauce, roast beef with cheese and jus, and of course, their classic pizza.
The staff provides exceptional service, treating customers like family in a great, home-like atmosphere, and they offer affordable drinks including the ‘champagne of beers’ on tap.
Boardwalk Foodcourt

When we think about pizza spots on the Atlantic City boardwalk, Boardwalk Foodcourt – with its cash-only policy and basic setup – isn’t usually the first place that comes to mind. But then we remember the halal options, the friendly and efficient service, and the entire concept of tasty and filling food at a reasonable price, which makes us question all the other things that come to mind.
Gino’s Pizza

Any time a restaurant offers delivery to Brigantine, we instinctively check our watches, like a hungry tourist waiting for the next boardwalk show. Gino’s version arrives surprisingly fast, so we give them a thumbs-up. Everything else at this convenient Main Street spot is topped with fresh ingredients, so Gino’s definitely gets our taste buds going more than any other pizza joint in Atlantic City.
The pepperoni slice and Popeye Chicken Cheesesteak are popular picks, though the wraps and sandwiches could use more flavor. Order pickup and delivery online.

There’s a pizza called the “Fuckin Gindolune” at Tony Boloney’s, a popular local spot in Atlantic City. We usually think gimmicky names are as overhyped as a casino jackpot, but it turns out this pie – topped with their own homemade vegan mozzarella – is pretty fantastic. Perhaps the only letdown is that the ambiance feels like a college pizza joint – yes, we know, it’s a cozy dive. Grab a slice here.
Chelsea Pizza II

We’re vocal fans of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza from this Atlantic City pizza spot (it’s some of the best pizza in New Jersey), but they also have phenomenal cheesesteaks and mozzarella sticks available for delivery or pick-up (though in-house seating is limited). If you’re looking for an extra jolt of flavor, we recommend adding extra spicy sauce, though everything here is already excellent as is.
