Which is why, after extensive scientific analysis—AKA eating a bunch of pizza all at once—we’ve compiled a list of our favorite spots in Milford.

Few things can satisfy a craving for Mexican food as well as a visit to Pancho’s Pizza in that small Milford plaza. Show up on a weekend evening and you’ll probably smell the homemade tortillas and flavorful sauces long before you see the unassuming storefront tucked between other businesses.
The menu is extensive enough, but with standout options like the amazing Chicken Enchiladas, best tacos, and even Margherita pizza, you could easily spend the rest of your meals here without ever repeating a dish. We like our enchiladas with tender chicken and that flavorful sauce, but as long as you leave with some authentic Mexican food and friendly service, you did Pancho’s right.

All of the marinara sauce and garlic knots are made fresh and come in generous portions and great value like the lasagna with beef sauce, the chicken souvlaki salad, and the fantastic pizza. They also make their own online ordering platform.
GG’s Wood Fired Pizza

GG’s Wood Fired Pizza serves wood-fired pizza and pasta made with fresh ingredients to order, creating a meal that’s a little easier to justify after a long day in Milford. You start with a base, then choose from whatever specials they have. It all gets cooked together and topped with various cheeses and sauces. But if you want something more than pizza and pasta, they also have rotating desserts like lemon cake, complete with frosting, layers, and, of course, lemon.

Tucked away in a Milford neighborhood is Colony Grill, one of our favorite pizza spots in the area. The tavern-style pies are made fresh daily, and it shows. A slice of cheese pizza packs in a satisfying crispiness, and the hot oil drizzle is about as essential as it comes—with a spicy, savory kick that folds around the melted mozzarella.

Nautilus first made its mark in Milford’s dining scene, but this spacious spot is the one we keep coming back to. It’s tucked away in what feels like a hidden gem of a location, with cool decor and great music working in harmony with delicious food to create the perfect atmosphere for catching up with friends.
Order whatever pizza they’re featuring that night—meatball vodka sauce or Caesar salad pizza, or something equally tasty and creative—and enjoy the sound of live music starting to drift through the space around 8. The service here is incredible, with bartender Caitlyn handling even the rowdiest parties with amazing efficiency, though be aware the manager might ask you to move tables if you linger too long.
At around $15-20 for pizzas and $12-18 for entrees like salmon or chicken sandwiches, it’s reasonably priced for the quality. This is exactly the kind of welcoming place that deserves more attention for hosting everything from surprise birthday parties to casual dinners.
Gulf Greek Pizza Restaurant

Gulf Greek Pizza Restaurant is about as close as Milford gets to a true Greek-style pizza experience. They have a menu of pan and Greek-style pizzas—all made with high-quality ingredients—and a single location in Connecticut (and beyond in reputation). A lot of their mainstays are twists on classic pizza styles, like the buttery crispy crust with perfectly cooked toppings, or the Salad piazza with fresh vegetables.
But there’s also a whole selection of traditional Greek-style pizzas that are absolutely delicious. The owners are welcoming and accommodating, and the staff’s friendliness enhances the overall dining experience, making it a favorite for those who enjoy flavorful pizza. Although the space is small and some prefer takeout, the prices, while on the higher side, reflect the quality you get.
New Haven Pizza Place
