There’s nothing more disappointing than a sunny Laughlin day when all you want is to escape the slot machine symphony and find actual comfort. But when you finally admit you’re tired of buffets that taste like regret, it’s basically the universe giving you permission to seek real satisfaction. So, abandon that nickel slot, embrace your hunger for something better, and head to one of these excellent restaurants in Laughlin.
Bruce’s Taste Of Chicago
$ | (702) 299-0196 | WEBSITE

When you find yourself in that odd Laughlin location that’s just casinos and parking lots, it means you’re close to Bruce’s Taste Of Chicago. This hidden gem of a diner has an excellent menu stacked with Chicago dogs and French dips, but when you’re feeling nostalgic, you want the Reuben. It’s served Chicago-style (with perfectly melted Swiss and tangy sauerkraut), is perfectly grilled, and wonderfully savory. Adding a side of their homemade potato salad is also a must.
Saltgrass Steak House
$$ | (702) 298-7153 | WEBSITE

This is fantastic. Someone just finished their meal and left their table beside you and it’s clear they’ll be returning soon. Watch them. Because they’re probably heading back to Saltgrass Steak House. The Laughlin steakhouse staple is like walking into that one restaurant in your hometown you always visit because the servers remember your name from last month. It’s down-to-earth, welcoming, and that ribeye is all you need after a long day.
The decor is great with a friendly vibe, and the staff provides prompt recommendations and refills. Even when busy, you’re seated quickly, and the 21oz bone-in ribeye is cooked perfectly. Good music plays, though sometimes the radio can get a bit loud. Despite occasional waits, the staff shows kindness, making it a place guests enjoy returning to regularly.
Carnegie’s Café
$ | (702) 298-4200 | WEBSITE

Don’t be fooled by the name—Carnegie’s Café is no ordinary breakfast joint. This straightforward, accessible spot in Laughlin is one of the best places for a solid meal in town, and the first place we head to whenever we get the overwhelming urge to start the day with something hot and satisfying.
They do serve classic café fare, with a variety of reliable dishes like consistently delicious breakfast plates and hearty lunch options, but whenever you’re looking for genuine hospitality, you need to ask for Krissy or DJ. The genuinely friendly and attentive service makes you feel truly welcome, especially if you have kids in tow, and if you still feel some type of way after your meal, just come back for another visit—the experience might just surprise you.
Subway
$ | (702) 298-0928 | WEBSITE

Why settle for one stop when you can get two in one? This Subway wins the prize for ‘best collection of conveniences you remember needing on a road trip,’ and though the gas station vibe can feel downright utilitarian, a quiet afternoon will soften the atmosphere. And we can’t think of a better plan to beat the midday hunger than grabbing a fresh sandwich from Shirley’s team, then browsing the snack aisle for swishers and treats—alright, you get it.
Port of Subs
$ | (702) 298-6262 | WEBSITE

We’d brave the casino crowds for the turkey and provolone sub at Port of Subs, and that includes navigating the slot machines and the bustling Tropicana floor. Once you make it to the counter, you’ll be eating the best sandwich in all of Laughlin and nothing else will matter. Not even the slots.
Bikini Bay Sports Bar & Grill
$ | (702) 299-3311 | WEBSITE

Laughlin’s favorite way to beat the heat? Canceling all plans, errands, and obligations, and heading to Bikini Bay. It’s no secret Laughlin has the best collection of sports bars in the region and Bikini Bay is our favorite, especially since it offers that perfect combo of great food and friendly service.
This welcoming spot frankly makes other grill joints look like a backyard barbecue, and getting served crispy chicken wings and cold beers by those attentive young bartenders is our desert-afternoon version of paradise.
Prime Rib Room
$$ | (702) 298-2535 | WEBSITE

This is one of our favorite prime rib spots in all of Laughlin. Prime Rib Room is very welcoming—the atmosphere is clean and pleasant with a cozy interior and river views. It’s very family-friendly though, which is important when you want a relaxed meal with friends. The staff will guide you through the menu, explain that all the prime rib is cooked to perfection in-house, and help you choose between medium rare and other options. Which you’ll appreciate anyway because the view is lovely.
Don’t skip the prime rib with au jus: tender, flavorful meat served with fresh sides from the salad bar.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
$$ | (702) 298-7143 | WEBSITE

The sun’s been beating down all day and now your skin is craving some relief. The good news is one of the world’s most satisfying comfort foods, the shrimp, is waiting for you. And while there are plenty of spots along the river serving these glorious babies, our move is always Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
This lively restaurant right on the Colorado River has been a Laughlin staple for years and we’re thankful for that, because that grilled Bourbon Salmon and those garlic bread bites are everything we want on a scorching afternoon.
The Range Steakhouse
$$$ | (702) 298-6832 | WEBSITE

A Tuesday night might seem like just another evening to your work-from-home colleagues, but you’re celebrating an anniversary and you want something special. You need The Range Steakhouse. The Laughlin favorite continues to be the top choice for special occasions with food that’s just as excellent (and generous) as always.
Our must-tries are the chilian sea bass, the lobster bisque, and the ribeye, and since the tables are romantic and ideal for couples to enjoy, we suggest you savor all of those dishes.
Sbarro
$ | (702) 994-9135 | WEBSITE

Pizza cravings, quick lunch breaks, and the classic cheese slice at Sbarro: All things that will satisfy you on busy, hectic days. This straightforward, familiar Laughlin spot does a $25 meal for two that includes two generous slices each, plus garlic knots, a side salad, and soft drinks. Your schedule might be packed with errands, but at least your stomach is packed with pizza.
Jackpot Joanies
$ | (702) 299-1690 | WEBSITE

If the thought of grabbing cheap eats in a casino town doesn’t sound like your idea of a good time, you might be missing out on what makes Laughlin special. For everyone else who appreciates food that hits the spot without breaking the bank, make your way to Jackpot Joanies. This casual spot has been serving up satisfying meals with a chill vibe for years.
The menu here is straightforward and affordable, but focus on the delicious Spring Rolls, and enjoy the friendly staff who keep your drinks coming while you soak in that different gambling experience.
Hideout
$ | (702) 299-0008 | WEBSITE

Let’s be real. If there’s even a hint of football coming on Sunday, you’re grabbing your crew, heading straight to Hideout, and claiming your spot until the final whistle. And at this bar, drinks are cheap, karaoke is encouraged, and the fun is coming to you. Bloody Marys? $3 drafts? Video poker? Choose your own adventure and never stop laughing in the glow of those TV screens.
