We ate our way through Plainville this year. After dozens of meals, several forgotten doggie bags, and more than a few debates over the check, we’re ready to share the 10 best restaurants in Plainville, MA for 2026.
Thai Tanic
$ | (508) 643-9300 | WEBSITE

Look, we can debate whether the crispy, crunchy and spicy AF chicken wings at Thai Tanic are actually that spicy, or if our taste buds have just gotten soft. If they have, we don’t recall that happening, and that might be because spice levels are subjective. Regardless, we can’t deny that these are some of the best wings we’ve had, Thai-style or otherwise.
The perfectly fried chicken is coated in a sauce with so much chili heat you’ll wonder if you’re sweating from the temperature or the spice, balanced with garlic, and ginger served with a side of cool cucumber. We also appreciate the generous portion of crispy spring rolls that come alongside.
Subway
$ | (508) 699-2555 | WEBSITE

The one item from this Plainville sandwich spot that keeps us coming back for more is the Veggie Delight. Fresh vegetables are complemented by crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, and the creamiest avocado spread we’ve ever had, all on perfectly toasted bread. It’s only available as part of their $8.99 footlong combo, but this sandwich alone is enough motivation for us to skip the usual fast-food chains for a few weeks.
D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches
$ | (508) 695-6469 | WEBSITE

We ate a lot of sandwiches on the job this year, but nothing made us want to climb a mountain and declare our love like the grilled subs from D’Angelo in Plainville. Our first taste of these perfectly toasted creations warped us to another dimension where time was suspended and the only thing that existed was us and the warm, melty goodness. And when paired with D’Angelo’s friendly service from staff like Rosa and Joseph, each visit gets a burst of community warmth and genuine care.
Papa Gino’s
$ | (508) 695-0214 | WEBSITE

“I want to sleep with this under my pillow,” is what we said halfway through the Cheesy Breadsticks at Papa Gino’s. The family-friendly pizza spot in Plainville serves the kind of food that makes us look forward to–or at least not hate—kids’ birthday parties. It’s a cheesy change of pace from pizza, and after discovering how well the breadsticks incorporate with the Super Steak Sub, we don’t understand how every pizza restaurant doesn’t already have this combination on their menu.
Fitzy’s Pub & Family Dining
$ | (508) 809-3533 | WEBSITE

We normally steer clear of family dining spots the way we hope contestants on reality shows steer clear of spoilers. But the prime rib from Fitzy’s Pub & Family Dining is responsible for our recent, suspiciously enthusiastic, Saturday night dinner plans. The prime rib has a perfect crust that pairs wonderfully with its rich au jus, and the homemade mashed potatoes cut right through all that meatiness.
We’re firmly in the “take a bit of everything on the plate” approach, but you’re free to focus on just the steak if you want. You can make your own decisions, even if they’re the boring ones.
Don’s Diner Inc
$ | (508) 695-7036 | WEBSITE

The first time we tried the smoked salmon benedict from Don’s Diner Inc in Plainville, it was like stepping into a time machine without the need for a flux capacitor. It was so perfectly cooked that even after a careful inspection we struggled to believe it came from a diner. This breakfast classic features flawlessly poached eggs and generous smoked salmon on top of a toasted English muffin.
Drenched in rich hollandaise with creamy avocado, the whole dish has a comforting decadence that would satisfy us even if we were the ones flipping the pancakes. At around $12, it’s a steal that makes the sometimes crowded counter worth the wait.
House of Fortune
$ | (508) 699-8887 | WEBSITE

Rarely do we encounter pot stickers at a restaurant that make the place more of a destination than the main courses. But this dish from Plainville’s House of Fortune transcends the humble status of appetizer, so that we now reference every meal using the terms pre- or post-pan-fried pot stickers. They’re filled with fresh ingredients, served with a zesty dipping sauce that makes us want to go door to door and spearhead a campaign to make this the universal starter for Asian dining.
Plus, with their perpetually crispy golden-brown exterior and generous portions, there’s no better vehicle for the vibrant flavors.
Slice Pizzeria

This sports book bar makes us want to skip the game. It has the usual suspects like pizza and burgers, but then takes a wonderful left turn with the addition of impressive TV screens, live bands like Cover Story, and friendly staff. The whole thing is lively, entertaining, and slightly chaotic. Plus, it’s all in a non-smoking environment, which is the atmosphere we didn’t know we needed until now.
Mozzarella’s of Plainville Inc

If there’s such a thing as a bar-hopping season, then Mozzarella’s of Plainville is where we’re choosing to spend our Saturday afternoons. The lively bar scene is packed with cold drafts and appetizer specials, and buzzing with that familiar energy. Calling this spot convenient is like calling a Saturday afternoon, well, convenient. Factual, but doesn’t quite cover it. This is a place you consider ditching your plans for.
Chili’s Grill & Bar
$ | (508) 695-5105 | WEBSITE

Like a reliable friend who always remembers your birthday but also knows how to throw a proper backyard barbecue, the ribs at Chili’s Grill & Bar are a familiar comfort that we genuinely look forward to revisiting. From the tender meat that falls right off the bone to their signature barbecue sauce, each element combines to create the quintessential chain restaurant rib experience. All of the above is also why it consistently earns its place among Plainville’s most dependable casual dining spots.
