It’s that time when Campbellford restaurants beckon you from your cozy kitchen, and into their cozy dining rooms. Our 2026 list is here. If you’re wondering what makes these spots special, it’s where local favorites and hidden gems serve up everything from farm-to-table feasts to riverside bites—all waiting to be discovered just around the corner.
Antonia’s Bistro
$$ | (705) 632-0505 | WEBSITE

Too many special occasion menus feel like, “You can choose between a basic salad or plain pasta.” But Antonia’s Bistro does celebrations the way we wish more places would. There is no limited holiday selection. Instead, you get your pick of any appetizer, entree, and dessert from the daily menu. The only catch is that certain dishes might be slightly smaller portions. Our Caprese salad appetizer came with just one tomato slice, but at least the seafood linguine was a generous serving.
Pizza Hut
$ | (705) 947-2221 | WEBSITE

We enjoy the decadent Canadian-style pizza at Pizza Hut, but in the spirit of saving money, let’s avoid the extra $15. Instead, get the personal pizza that’s just as satisfying, with the new homestyle crust perfectly crisp and served piping hot. The Pizza Hut team is masterful at service, so there is no wrong choice between the prompt delivery and friendly cashier who doesn’t judge for not tipping.
Wildflower Bakery
$ | (705) 778-2148 | WEBSITE

You can try Wildflower’s best classics for your morning stop this year, including savory danishes, their sweet treats like lemon danish, and croissants that melt in your mouth. For baked goods, they’re doing what they do best: putting their heart into every creation. There’s phenomenal bread fresh from the oven, coffee that’s out of this world with each sip. Plus, their fun holiday specials are what make it a delightful visit.
TAP & TONIC | Pub – Bistro
$$ | (705) 947-2333 | WEBSITE

Almost everything we just said about a typical pub applies to TAP & TONIC. Except it’s not overly loud, some of the more elaborate dishes are off-limits, and the average meal runs about $25. Other than that, you get to enjoy the whole menu. TAP & TONIC is all about comfort food (we like the wings and fries, salmon on wild basmati rice, and teriyaki shrimp) but there are burger options too, so you can make this a classic pub thing.
The Ice Cream Cafe
$ | (705) 632-0303 | WEBSITE

We can’t think of a better time to check out The Ice Cream Cafe. Campbellford is less crowded in the summer, the shop isn’t packed with tourists, and (thanks to their generous servings) a dipped waffle cone with sprinkles will cost you $6 instead of the usual $10 at fancier spots. For your flavor, get the gold medal ribbon (it’s our favorite choice). The caramel topping is a great addition, and we love their light vanilla waffle cones.
Apollo’s Pizzeria
$ | (705) 653-1414 | WEBSITE

We appreciate how this family-friendly spot in Campbellford is serving up all the comforting classics with their generous menu. That means flavorful pasta dishes like special spaghetti and baked lasagna, or tasty bruschetta with feta. The Apollo’s Special pizza has our attention (even though it’s a $5 upcharge). And their $25 lunch special is a steal if you opt for the garlic bread with cheese to start, their vegetarian pasta, and end with a slice of pepperoni pizza for dessert.
Chicken Kingdom & Seafood
$ | (705) 653-4900 | WEBSITE

Chicken Kingdom & Seafood is what we recommend for families looking for a casual and satisfying comfort meal. Their chicken, said to be better than KFC, and fresh mac salad are noteworthy, and some of our favorites here—like the seafood menu, daily specials, and poutines—are all popular among customers. Sadly, their most famous dish, the chicken, can sometimes be skimpy with hardly any meat and mostly bone.
Subway
$ | (705) 653-0385 | WEBSITE

We’re really digging the lunch options at this Subway location. You can order the Assorted Sub as your main choice. The friendly staff provides quick service, making it a convenient spot for a quick bite. That sub alone would cost $8 at most sandwich shops. And the cleanliness and ample parking are what we’d jump on for a hassle-free meal.
Sugar Shack Mini Donuts
$ | WEBSITE

Hats off to Sugar Shack Mini Donuts for being loyal to road trippers and not overcharging us. Few food trucks of this quality are offering $12 large poutines. And there’s nothing thoughtless about this one, either. These are generous portions with not-cheap ingredients, like buffalo chicken poutine and meatloaf poutine—a great example of a place that wants your dollar to go further.
Woody Burger & Pizzeria
$ | (705) 778-1010 | WEBSITE

The loaded nachos, which are normally $14, are reason enough to prioritize Woody Burger & Pizzeria during a family night out. Get an order of Gar Par wings to start, and suddenly their clean dining room feels less like Campbellford and more like the set of a cozy family comedy. The gluten-free pizza is an extra $4, but it’s worth it for one of the area’s best.
Station Restaurant & The Pizza Station
$ | (705) 778-1077 | WEBSITE

If you’ve never tried Station Restaurant & The Pizza Station’s massive Greek souvlaki platter, now is the time. We appreciate that this historic spot kept its signature oversized pizzas on the menu—order one to share with their juicy burgers. The wings are also spectacular and come in huge portions, but you’ll have to pay a $4 upcharge for extra sauce. It’s also $3 extra for their spill-proof kids’ cups, so we’d go with the regular sodas or lemonade instead.
The Trent
$$ | (705) 409-8888 | WEBSITE

The lively entertainment spot in Campbellford is the kind of place you might usually save for a group outing, but we think $25 for bowling, nachos, and a pitcher of beer is enough cause for celebration. There’s also a $15 deal for kids that includes shoe rental and pizza, but we’d recommend prioritizing evening fun here.
Fat Bastard Burrito Co.
$ | (705) 632-0300 | WEBSITE

Fat Bastard Burrito Co. arrived just in time for late-night cravings, and you should hustle over. It quickly became our go-to burrito spot in Campbellford when it opened a while back, and it’s already one of the very best in the area, too. Regrettably, you are missing out on the best burrito (the classic beef) if you stick to the vegetarian options. The vegan burrito is the only plant-based choice available.
But we get just as thrilled about the friendly service here, like the warm welcome and helpful staff.
Be My Guest Family Restaurant
$ | (705) 653-4555 | WEBSITE

Be My Guest’s breakfast special is usually $12 and includes two standout items from their regular menu: the fantastic homefries and a generous portion of eggs. Prioritize those two. For a full meal, their large breakfast platter (normally $15) and family-sized pancakes ($18) are both included in the $20 weekend special. Get those and enjoy the cozy atmosphere with holiday decorations and Christmas carols.
K Okay Café & Roasters
$ | (705) 924-1212 | WEBSITE

K Okay Café & Roasters’ menu is like the red string board of Campbellford coffee shops, but we’ll get you through it. They’re serving breakfast and lunch, but you should focus on lunch. There’s a $12 sandwich and a $15 panini—the ham and brie sandwich is the better deal because it includes crispy bread, gherkins, and that perfect balance of flavors.
The Crossroads Family Restaurant
$ | (705) 778-7100 | WEBSITE

Getting a full breakfast here for under $15 feels like the steal of the year. The family restaurant is known for its breakfast, but we love the roast beef dinner on their regular menu. If you want the full Crossroads experience, you can get the Hungry Man’s Breakfast as your main meal for an extra $8. That’s normally $22 (with extra sides) for dinner, so stick to the other options and spend that extra money on a proper lunch here eventually.
Church-Key Brewing Company
$$ | (705) 653-9950 | WEBSITE

Church-Key Brewing Company has most of our favorite brews, like the crisp Northumberland Ale, the robust Porter, and the refreshing seasonal IPA (although that limited-edition sour does sound promising, too). Go with a group so everyone can order a different pint and snack. This way, you get to try a bit of everything.
Jeannine’s Backtalk Cafe
$ | (705) 924-2166 | WEBSITE

Jeannine’s Backtalk Cafe is the kind of place where you can show up in your weekend clothes and still feel right at home. For breakfast, the hearty plates feel like they came straight from your own kitchen, while lunch brings satisfying options like the crispy chicken wrap or fish and chips. You won’t have to worry about keeping quiet here. The cozy restaurant has that old-school country charm with checkered tablecloths and plays a steady stream of classic country tunes.
