Atlantic City might be better known for its flashy casinos, saltwater taffy, and boardwalk pizzas, but our steakhouses are way better than we get credit for. And this guide is here to prove it. From a classic chophouse where the dry-aged ribeyes are carved tableside to a modern spot serving wagyu under glittering chandeliers, these are the very best steakhouses in Atlantic City.

Everything tends to hover around the $45 mark, so enjoy making your way down their menu, with their Colossal Seafood Tower featuring Alaskan king crab legs, lobster tails, and freshly shucked oysters, or lobster tail and asparagus—a standout combination, that, much like a certain transcendent experience, focuses primarily on the generous portions.
Ocean Steak
$$$$ | (609) 783-8000 | WEBSITE

This Atlantic City steakhouse has the atmosphere of a relaxed, private dining room. And while coming here for the exceptional service may be the initial draw, you haven’t truly experienced Ocean Steak until you’ve sampled their steak. From menu staples like the bone-in ribeye and oysters to larger dishes like the steak for two and a Maine lobster tail that smells like butter and lemon, Ocean Steak’s menu is full of hits.
Whether you come to Ocean Steak on a special occasion or just a random Tuesday, get their crab cakes. They come out perfectly seared with more than enough lump crab meat and remoulade to share.
Gordon Ramsay Steak
$$$$ | (609) 441-5060 | WEBSITE

Gordon Ramsay Steak began as a celebrity chef’s vision, but is now a full-fledged destination in Atlantic City. The spacious, reservation-recommended steakhouse has plenty of tables in the main dining room, but if you arrive without a booking, they can accommodate you in the lounge. The menu consists mainly of classic cuts with Michelin star quality and your choice of sides (the Delmonico and NY strip steaks are standouts), but don’t leave without the mac and cheese.
It’s a rich, creamy, decadent side made with sharp cheddar and perfectly cooked pasta. If you’re here with two to three people, share the steak sampler, which comes with filet mignon, lamb chops, whipped potatoes, asparagus, and several sauces for $120. Leftovers will be a given, but save room for the truffle cake.

Plus, there’s a particularly excellent deal here—a complete meal priced at $15.99 that includes your choice of sandwich with a side of crispy golden fries. Get one (or two) of them.
B-Prime Steakhouse
$$$$ | (609) 317-8218 | WEBSITE

Whoever said that steak is the ultimate indulgence was almost certainly talking about the Delmonico, a tender and flavorful cut that defines classic American dining. As the name suggests, B-Prime Steakhouse doesn’t miss in the steak department—the A5 Kobe beef is luxurious, the Braised Pork Belly is mouth-watering, and the Crab Cake appetizer impresses—but the main reason we’d send you to Atlantic City is their silky, umami-bomb Tuna Tartare.
Get it alongside the French Onion Soup and/or Chipotle Corn Brûlée for a power meal that’ll have you feeling like you could conquer the casino floor afterward.
The Palm – Atlantic City
$$$$ | (609) 344-7256 | WEBSITE

The Palm in Atlantic City is known for its lively steakhouse atmosphere, or more specifically, the upscale energy that fills the dining room without ever feeling overwhelming. There’s a veal chop parmigiana that’s superb with generous portions for around $48, as well as crab cakes that are golden on the outside and packed with real crab meat for about $32, both of which showcase the kitchen’s strengths.
Unless you want to risk disappointment with certain high-priced items, plan on sticking to the standout dishes. The good news is that The Palm offers attentive service throughout your meal, and the experience is special enough that even your most quality-conscious friend won’t mind it’s not perfect across the entire menu. Get the crab cakes, the veal chop parmigiana, and enjoy the inviting comfort—all of which contribute to a memorable dining occasion.
Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse
$$$$ | (609) 441-8355 | WEBSITE

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse is a highly-recommended establishment in Atlantic City that’s a great place to celebrate a special occasion. That said, it’s their perfectly cooked prime ribeye that’s a sight to behold. Throughout the evening, regular customers fill the comfortable seats to choose from a range of expertly prepared options served with attentive care.
The menu stays consistent, but we always keep an eye out for the Steakhouse Chopped Salad with its crisp textures, boneless NY Strip seared to perfection, shrimp scampi in garlic butter, and that 16-ounce ribeye with a side of giant baked potato and fresh broccoli. Drop by for a memorable dinner, settle into the warm atmosphere, and lay out your Vic & Anthony’s bounty.
Old Homestead Steak House
$$$$ | (609) 317-7723 | WEBSITE

Serving classic American steakhouse fare with elegant precision, Old Homestead Steak House in Atlantic City stands out not just on this list, but from pretty much anywhere in the city. The prime cuts, like the perfectly cooked NY sirloin with Brussels sprouts, the impressive 44 oz Porterhouse, or the tender rib eye, are all fantastic. But nothing compares to their French onion soup, made from slow-simmered broth with caramelized onions and melted gruyère until it’s rich and comforting.
The best way to sample the greatest hits at Old Homestead is their chef’s special, a weekend offering that includes a medley of appetizers and a main course for around $65. It’s such a refined experience, we immediately imagined ourselves celebrating here regularly in one of their leather booths sipping 12-year Whistle Pig Rye in the cozy bar area.
